About Our Mission

Empowering communities through sustainable gardening and self-sufficiency

Our Story

For over two decades, ALLOTMENTS FOR LABOURING POOR has been dedicated to providing land resources and support to families in need. We believe that access to growing space is a fundamental right that can transform lives and communities.

Our organization was founded on the principle that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow their own food, regardless of their economic circumstances. Through our allotment programs, we help families achieve food security, build skills, and create stronger community bonds.

Success Story

The Johnson Family

"When we first started with our allotment, we were struggling to put food on the table. Now, not only do we grow enough vegetables for our family, but we're able to share with our neighbors and even sell some at the local market."

"At 72, I thought my gardening days were behind me. But with the support of this program, I've not only maintained my own plot but have become a mentor to younger families. It's given me a new purpose and keeps me active and healthy."
